In reply to Sandy Sandy. If you compare apples with apples, you will find that the G9 II has 11.4 / 12.7 stops when ProRes 5.7K is used. Which is 0.1 stops off. H265 results for any camera tested are always "better", but this could be attributed to the way H265 works.

The GH6 sensor’s analog pre-amp get’s it up to a 0db of 2000 ISO in VLog. The GH7’s sensor has it’s analog gain turned WAY down to a 500 ISO 0db. This a HUGE difference between the two cameras. I would have LOVED to see this test done with that GH7 gained up to 2000 ISO (+12db) and “THEN” compared to the GH6. (Both cameras are equal 2,000 ISO)

I have a question. What about dynamic range for 4K output, not 5.7 K? Do you plan to test noise level at base ISOs? How does noise level compare with Sony A7 IV?

In your Database the G9ii has 11.8 Stops of Dynamic Range at SNR = 2 and 12.9 stops at SNR = 1.
And the GH7 has 11.3 stops at SNR = 2 and 12.6 stops at SNR = 1.
Which means the G9ii has almost 0.5 or almost Half a Stop better dynamic range than the GH7. Why do you think this is the case, when they both have similar rolling shutter (the G9ii has 0.2ms faster rolling shutter in 4/3 full sensor readout?).
